Mazury 2007

I am sailing already for 10 years... 10 summers that I couldn't imagine missing the sails, wind, lake... so this year again I took a chance to sail a bit with my really good friends - Ania and Michał. They booked the jacht, went for two weeks and I joined then for the last week. It was great, although Mikołaj couldn't come with me. Ok, it was cold. Ok, it was maybe a bit too windy. But it just felt right. At the end for four days came Miko and it was even better ;) Do you know the feeling when the wind is touching your skin? When the jacht is going faster and faster? When you sleep and the waves are helping you to fall asleep? What can I say more... ;)

You need a boat in "Boat City"

I am not sure if I have explained what the name of my city means. Łódź means boat in English, and during past two months I had a feeling that this boat is sinking, or that people from this city should be equipped with real boat... Why? Everything due to the rain and thunderstorms in Lodz - they were so strong, unexpectedly, that almost every day they caused horrible traffic jams, problems, demages... The streets were awashed, turning into wild rivers, small lakes, even 2 m. deep!... The unbelievable way the nature can tell you, you are not prepared for anything... that within 15 minutes city can be paralysed... I am amazed with that and it made me think. Made me a bit afraid - what will the future bring? The change of the climat, of the weather... should I really buy a boat just in case? But for you to believe - just take a look...

Looong weekend....

The unique beginning of May in Poland is usually a little bit longer, of course we feel it could last forever ;) - we have 1st and 3rd of May FREE :) and this year, with only 3 days taken off, we were able to have 9-days long holidays... With Mikolaj unfortunatelly we had only weekend away from the city - in the Northern Poland, with very good friends, canoeing!!! :) great fun, a little bit more dangerous with a guy like Miko :P But I had really wonderful time, just such a pity it was so short...I need longer holidays! I really need them...
